Hellenic Immortal Heroic Lyrics & Poems

The site displays a collection of the most popular Hellenic poems and lyrics that have ever been written by famous Hellenic poets and writers. Their poetry is one more testimony of the inexhaustible bounty of the Hellenic spirit. 

Most of the following poems - lyrics  are exclusively in Hellenic (Greek) language, mainly because of the difficulty in translation. This difficulty holds its source not only in the scarcity of the Hellenic vocabulary but also in the fact that the majority of these words are so masterly connected each other that sometimes the beauty and the majesty of the whole meaning is lost, when trying to transfer it to another language. This could only have been achieved by the poets and writers themselves. However, the difficulty in bonding the words together does not exclude other people of foreign nationality to read the lyrics as there are plenty of free translations in the Internet or bookstores (in many languages), that's why the recognition of these poets and writers is widely accepted all over the world.
